Preetha is a native of the city of Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu. She is currently pursuing her graduation in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) in Chennai. She loves writing and is an official correspondent for her Institute newspaper and blog. Besides science and programming, Preetha is enthusiastic about fine arts and graphic design. She is proficient in tools like Photoshop and Canva.
Motivation to work with CITF
Preetha was grounded in Chennai when the COVID-19 induced lockdown was imposed. She took this opportunity to assist Covid India Task Force (CITF) and hone her skills in graphic design. Now, when she reflects, the journey has been particularly rewarding and she is proud of her efforts in supporting CITF.
Contributions to CITF
Preetha joined the Marketing and outreach team at CITF in early April. Her team members instantly realized that she had a natural flair for graphic design. She compensated for a lack of professional experience in the field with hard work and determination. Over months, she has designed over 60 distinct graphics for social media consumption. Now, she collaborates with almost all teams at CITF including Demo day and fundraising teams. All in all, her commitment to CITF is persistent and much cherished.
